Re: [epilepsy] Something new

I saw my new neurologist this morning. I did not tell him what my
epileptologist said to me about my pain because I wanted his honest
unbiased opinion. He told me that my symptoms fit with a diagnosis of
fibromyalgia, but that he is hesitant to call it that given my
neurological history. He said it could very well be nerve damage from
the chiari as well, but that either way treatment would be the similar.

He upped my Lyrica and I am to give him an update in a week on the
effect. Since I am returning to school in the fall, and walking is an
issue for me, he told me he would have no problem approving me for a
handicap placard. I told him I wanted to see how it would go when I
start, and then I would get one if I need to. My husband thinks it's a
bad idea for me to wait, so I am going to contact him about that again.

At least I'm not having seizures anymore on top of all of this!!
