[epilepsy] Live Scribe

I had to share this because it is so cool! I have already shared that I
am returning to school in the fall through Voc Rehab. They want to
ensure I am successful, so one of the things they do is provide me with
anything that would help reach that goal. This includes any speech,
occupational, or other therapies I need.

The newest thing they have provided for me is technological, and is
called a Live Scribe pen. It is a pen with built in recording
capability. If you are listening to a speaker/teacher it records both
the audio and an image of the notes you write. It uses special paper to
do this. Then the audio and the image can be downloaded ot the computer
to be used later. When you touch the pen to the paper anywhere in your
notes, it recognizes that spot and plays back the audio from that point.

This is going to be so helpful!!! Since I am sometimes easily
distracted, takeing notes can be hard. If that happens, I don't have to
worry about what I have missed and just move on. Later I can go back
and fill in the blanks where I missed something.

I though some of you on here might find this interesting. The pen is
called a Live Scribe. There are different versions, with different
memory capabilities.
