Re: [epilepsy] Something new

Kelly, my "fibromyalgia" was the direct result of Celiac Disease and extreme D deficiency. Look into those before you get too upset, especially if you have taken AEDs for years. It's all very treatable!!

Good luck!!

Subject: [epilepsy] Something new

Yesterday I had a visit with my epileptologist. She is excited that,
over 4 years post right temporal lobectomy, I am returning to school to
finish my bachelors degree. I am going to voc rehab because there is no
way I can return to the career I had before getting sick.

However, she did say that given my range of symptoms she thinks my
regular neurologist needs to evaluate me for Fibromyalgia. Great, just
what I need, a fifth neurological diagnosis! Having the diagnosis or
not won't change my symptoms, but 4 neurological diagnosis is enough
already. She told me to have more then one neurological diagnosis is
rare, and I said to "I guess I hit the jackpot then" and she just
laughed. I think epilepsy, chiari, 5th cranial nerve damage, and
reynauds is a long enough list already! I have an appointment tomorrow,
so we will see what he has to add to this.
