Elizabeth, you bring up an interesting point. It has been proven that
the suicide rate of those with epilepsy is higher, and it is probably a
combination of the factors. Those with epilepsy have a higher rate of
depression fro obvious reason, and adding AED's to that increases the
risk. AED's increase suicide thoughts in many, but increase them even
more so in those who are already depressed.
