I switched from name brand trileptal to generic last year, with no
problems. I would just suggest you don't do so without the consent of
you Dr. In the first few weeks of the switch, you will know if there is
an issue. I use to be agaist switching, because I was still having
active seizures, now that I am stable I decided it was time to switch.
I know each drug is a bit different, but the theory is the same.
-once you switch make sure you get the same manufacturer every time.
-if your body is going to react to the change, it will happen in the
first few weeks.
-Don't change without your Nuero knowing, so if something does happen
they know why.
