Hi Susan,
If you know that, why don't you simply stop at a stop sign for six seconds when you take the test? Is that a problem when taking the test? Also, why not practice k turns and parallel parking till you feel comfortable when you get your permit? That is what I did when I began driving again after not driving for 20 years (smile).
