It will be held at Amager Bio, the same place the pre-party was held on Friday. No word on if they will be performing or not but that is how they will be closing out the first NPG Festival.-Dr.FB Diagnosis: Keep The Party Movin' UPDATE! These photos are stunning. It is a shame the weather cut this show short because by photos alone, it sure looks like Prince was bringing it. Just shaking my head as I think of the songs he has been performing lately. "Gold", "What's My Name" "Calhoun Square" "Mutiny" and I could go on. The Icon could do a month of shows without doing the same song twice. We know it. The former Tony Toni Tone front man brought the funk in his own style, and we are not talking about those pants either! The doc is funky, but he could not pull of those pants. Only Saadiq could.  Raphael Saadiq NPG Records 2011 I have only seen Saadiq perform one time and that was with a member of Earth, Wind, & Fire and Sheila E. along with Prince several years ago. Would love to see a Raphael solo show one of these days. Day one of the festival seems like it was incredibly funky. Hopefully, the weather will be better for day 2. The "Stone Cold Sober" singer performed in clothes that Lady Gaga will most likely be wearing in the next couple of weeks. When Paloma is not performing, she is acting in movies such as "Dread" from 2010. NPG Records 2011 Here are exclusive photos (exclusive til they end up all over Facebook & Twitter) of Chaka Khan performing at the NPG Music And Arts Festival day one, August 6th 2011. Chaka did a set chockfull of hits wearing something that I guess was quite comfortable. Her voice is what she came for and she still has the pipes. During her set, legendary bass player Larry Graham joined her on stage to sing with her. Larry dressed in a white suit, seemed bassless. Oh baby brother! Ok, you know the doc loves him some Nikka Costa and to hear that she was playing at Prince's own NPG Music & Arts Festival, you know I wish I was there. Seeing these amazing photos of her wants to see another show at the Roxy back in L.A. The funky white .....er.....girl rocked the festival and we hope some video footage of her ends up back to us. The club was saying it was going to only be the NPG band, but Prince was there the entire time. He also brought out Nikka Costa and the legendary Chaka Khan to perform as well.
