Re: [epilepsy] Surveys

I meant that just because a drug is referenced on some WEB site that we can discuss it with them but they may have more rationale as to why to not select it that we should be accept.  I have a lot to learn about how and why one medication is chosen over another.  I agree they make decisions sometimes and are wrong and I wish it was more of an exact science since I think they shoot from the hip to try things and we are the sample selections they have to work with.  I don't know how much drug reps pushing their different medications effect this.  I would like to believe it is not much.  This is why I wanted to ask how many were taking newly developed medications and what was the basis to take them?  As a single med, that may be one thing but who knows what interactions occur until they have patients try them with other meds.  Seems like we are used at times and the results may be less control of our z's.   If it works out, that may be good for us
but then you have to ask about long term effects and again they don't know.

Why not second guess your doctor. They are often wrong and do not

know our children as well as we do, and also don't do the research

that we do!!! We are truly warriors when it comes to our children.
