Hi
Our daughter that died here in Jan (38yr old) had ep. ever since she was 12. Her son, now 12 started getting
seizures at 4-5 (somewhere in that range). She knew what it was as both her and I have the Ep Grand mal and
recognized them immediately. Took the Doctors a whole year + to give him anything, with many seizures in
between and some so bad that had to be hospitalized overnight for observation. Would always be sent home with
the dr. telling her that was normal childhood temper tantrum etc. ha ha ha. .... This is where you make sure
you get a 2nd observation, specially if it is happening over and over. He has been off the medication now for
a year or two, yet as a grandma and knowing what to look for can tell when he is off in another world or
staring etc. So still get's little what would be diagnosed as seizures but not enough for meds. Hopefully he
has been one of the lucky ones to grow out of them....Julie
