I'd better follow up a bit on the "gallons of water" vision I seem to have portrayed
I hate drinking water!
I grew up and lived in the city in the 60's, 70's, and 80's (always Coca-Cola, Pepsi Generation, etc.). I drank city water before I learned about the evil of fluoride. Now I live on a hobby farm with well water. I haul my water in from the city because, like I said, I'm a city boy and well water tastes like
ah
(are there only adults reading this?). Well water, take it or leave it, has lots of stuff in it. My neighbors have all drank it for years and love it. I don't. I buy jugs of some kind of reverse osmosis processed crap from the super market to drink and use city water for other potable purposes.
Did I mention I hate drinking water?
A lot of people don't realize how easy it is to get dehydrated and more importantly, there actually are a lot of toxins that come out when you burn fat and water really helps to flush them away. To help me keep my intake of water up, I use a mixture of 5% fruit juice (I buy it by the case, different flavor concoctions) and 95% water. The juice MUST be natural with NO SUGAR ADDED. The "no sugar added" part is ultra important. With this mixture, I can slurp a lot of water during the day.
Do I actually drink gallons? I don't know. Summer has not arrived yet and it gets hot for 2 or 3 days up north here after spring and before fall. I would have to say my current daily goal is to make sure at least 1 gallon of water goes through the pipes in a 24 hour period (and possibly a beer or two if there is any in the fridge out on the deck beside the fire pit outside).
I hope this clarifies the dramatic visualization of my last post.
