I have been practicing the Fast-5 lifestyle for about 4 days so far, after going on a camping trip and having fasted for ~48 hours and being surprised at how easy it was. I don't have a lot of weight to lose, I weigh about 160lb now and I would like to get to 140lb. I'm 5'11 with a small frame. I really just would like to burn the excess fat from my body. I've lost 60lbs since last year, using regular calorie counting and exercise. So far, I have been losing almost a pound a day. I assume that this will slow down. I consume the roughly same amount of calories in my eating window as I have been previously consuming, but I tend to just eat a big meal and then a little something after and feel full, so it is more like a 2 hour eating window. Is this rapid weight loss acceptable in the beginning, and how long should I let it persist? I am doing weight training during my fasts and I am not overly active, but I like to go for walks outside, mow the lawn, and things like that. I just wonder if this continues, if I should force myself to eat more calorie dense foods or open my eating window earlier.. I don't feel hungry until an hour or so before my window starts at 5pm, and I don't feel like I lack energy, I actually have much more than ever before. I love this lifestyle so far, I look forward to seeing its effects in a longer time frame.
