The Greek cuisine is the definition for simple and fresh and this recipe surely stands up for that. It's a simple side dish and works great with any main dish you can think of, from steak to rice or grilled veggies if you're a vegetarian.
Prep time: 10 min
Cook time: 20 min
Servings: 4 - 6
2 lb chard, shredded
2 cups spinach, shredded
4 Tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 shallot, finely sliced
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Lemon wedges to serve
1. Heat the oil in a skillet and stir in the shallot and garlic. Sauté for 2 minutes then add the shredded chard and spinach.
2. Keep cooking for 10-15 minutes or until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
3. Season with salt and pepper and serve warm with a lemon wedge.
