OMG! U should definitely change neurologists! When I had my first seizure they thought it was "mental" and I should go see a psychiatrist, which I do as I'm on Paxil for OCD and he said I had a seizure. Even though I, too, was in a neuro ward for a week, it showed I had seizure activity, but this was after 4 doctors later who did not believe me and thought I was making it up. I do not have grand mal seizures, just "auras" and complex partial seizures. I found the right doctor and I am now on Trileptol and my seizures have lessened. Please talk to another doctor who does believe you and can prescribe the right meds for you. Do NOT give up - U are worth it and only U know how you are feeling and when your body does not feel right. This is not in our heads!

Subject: [epilepsy] Re: pseudo seizures
Hi Laura,
I didn't have many seizures when i was pregnant either both times and with no medications. So many things have an effect on the brain so the amount and frequency of our seizures often goes up and down. However having had a period of time when you didnt have a seizure doesnt mean your brain isnt eileptic and that you are making it up.
These drs and nurses.. sometimes i wonder how they would feel if we started picking holes in the parts of their lives that are important to them - they'd be not so flippant i bet.
*hugs*
Emily

seizure they say it is not a real one just some underlying mental condition!
