How do U help yourself out of pseudo seizures as I am having them as well?

First of all you are not faking siezures!Psuedo siezures are just as real as the ones that can be seen on the eeg.A person can have both kinds and most of the time it is an epilepic that has psuedo siezures.
I have both kinds.Found out about my psuedo ones when I went to do a week of monitering for my epilepsy.After that week my nurolagist came in and said that I was having psuedo siezures...What are those I asked.Those are siezures that don't show up on the eeg monitoring.Boy I got upset and said why would I fake having siezures when I want to get rid of them?!He said these siezures are just as real as the readable ones. The only difference is that we can help you get rid of the psuedo siezures or at least help you to know which ones are psuedos and which ones are epileptic ones.He said that he was going to set up a meeting with an epilepsy psychologist to find out y I was having them.
When I talked to my epilesy pyschologist she exspained them a bit more to me..."let us say that your brain is talking to you...It knows how the body relaxes after an epileptic siezure so it says to itself boy I'm really stressed out I need to loose some of this stress.I know! I will have the body have a siezure! That will help relax some of this stress)So boom there starts a siezure.They are so like the other siezures that you have so you just think that your siezures are getting worse or that they are getting stronger.Well that is why the doctor told you to come to me to figure out why you are having them.We talked many times over a 2 month period and I learned through her y they may have started and how I can know which ones are the psuedo ones.
My pilles are taking care of the epileptic ones and I can now talk myself out of the psuedo ones.They said I had probably started the psuedo ones way back after my brain surgery To get rid of the epileptic ones.I had so much stress in my marriage back then and being raped at 16 and not teling anyone and keeping my emotions inside of me instead of letting them out are probably the cause of them.So I had to work through all of that baggage and not hold back my feelings or anger and soo they started getting weaker and less and less and able to talk myself out f them. don't let anyone tell you that you are faking them! find an epileptic pychiactrist They know about epilepsy and are able to exsplain it better then I can.If you have any more questions just ask and I can answer them I will.

i have been diagnosed with epilepsy since i was 14(i am now 33)i started out having grand mal as i got older i developed other types. i have moved to a new state meaning a new neurologist she is conviced that i am only have pseudo seizures accusing me of "faking" since my diagnosis even though i have had multiple EEG's showing seizure activity. she had me do an 8 day stay in the epilepsy monitoring unit and since no seizures happened she said this proved her point and sent me to a pyschiatrist. i told her i have gone as long as 2 years without a seizure that it did not prove anything. also when i was pregnant for my daughter i went off all my meds the day i found out, no weaning whatsoever. has anyone else had this happen? because this is now in my medical records when i left her my new neurologist(after her) now believes this as well and doesnt want to do anything for me either, he says to continue with the pyschiatrist! even when i do have a seizure
they say it is not a real one just some underlying mental condition!
