Hi...my name is Sue nad I have had seizures/auras since Nov, 2010 and have not driven since. I was on Depakote but was having hallucinations and lost 2/3 of my hair. I am now on Trileptol and just feel a little tired but it is helping and I haven't had a seizure in 2 months. My one neurologist told DMV everything so my license is suspended, which, now is a good thing but I have to re-take the test which I will fight when I am seizure free for 6 months or more. I agree....rest and meds and eating right helps alot. Try the Trileptol but I wouldnt start driving until you are seizure free and cleared by a doctor as you do not want to kill yourself or others if you have an aura as I almost did that during my first seizure when I didnt' k nwo I was havign one. It is dangerous and you shouldnt' take risks with your life or that of others.

for about a year. although i am very careful when i dont feel myself i slow down and usually that prevents them from coming full force. i have had seizures since i was a baby at that time was undiagnosed but they put me on phenabarbatal but took me off at 7 yrs old and did not put anyother meds
i learned my aura;s and found by keeping my stress down to managable level and getting lots of rest and all that it works for me. when i was on depakote i was tired all the time. and it did not help at all. so since i could not afford to go to doc. i stopped taking the depakote and started to modify my life. and so when i told new doc about it all. she said if it works for me to continue but to try keppra xr. so i did for a while well i felt even worse on it. dizzy. nauseated all time. and out of it too. so i decided nope i cant continue like that. i do admit i am not totally seizure free. i do have one to two a year if that. i have one son who is going to be 11 nov 30th.. he has cerebral palsy...... i am single (never married) his father is not in picture. right now i am going thru a rough time . i am temporarily staying with my friend and her husband and her son. have been since may 2011. i am going to move in jan. 2012 once i find
and get own appartment. first i need wheels. yes i do have a valid license. i volenteered it up back when i was getting control over them so i finally got it back this was when i was 18-21 my neurologist at time fought for me to have it back. we live in texas.
