I guess it could be another person who saw me in the state of grand-mal seizure. . .but it shouldn't matter. A therapist friend of mine said yesterday "A witness to WHAT?" I'm not denying I have the condition and there were surely other spectators in the hallway. No witness can discount that the letter stated the lease was not going to be renewed because of the seizure condition.
You never know...they could try and have the 'witness' say that he knows that the letter was not written by the landlord. That would be funny and pretty lame since it was given to the Housing Authority by her. I think this management would try anything. If they really think that anything I did during a seizure was done on purpose, that's really stupid. I know of cases where people stole things without memory and then, once the condition was explained more in court, it was dismissed. Some people even undress themselves unaware. It can be quite embarassing and never their fault.
I wish I had asked the judge at the time if he could have the defendant mention what kind of witness it would be. I'm glad for the postponement; the judge can now read everything I wrote.
People tell me to not worry. I'm going to try and see if it could be possible that my case is heard as one of the last ones; I'm more comfortable in a mostly-empty room due to my anxiety and panic attacks. I know that this worked for a friend of mine.
I just remembered that on that court day, the management said that they were "ready to go" even if they didn't get the postponement. They seem so sure of themselves.
