I've been on Keppra XR for about a month and a half (in addition to Tegretol XR) and have been dealing with a speech issue called "single-word aphasia." I look at something, I know the name of the object, I hear it in my head, but when I open my mouth, a different word comes out. The second I hear what I said, I know it's wrong and I correct myself (so I know it isn't a seizure) but it's really annoying. It's listed in the possible side effects and might be something I need to learn to live with if I want to stay on Keppra. :(
I don't know if that helps at all, but I wanted you to know that you weren't alone in this side effect.
