[epilepsy] Re: Introduction New to group

Milwaukee is only 75 miles north of me. I'm just north of Chicago.

I still have seizures but not as often as in the beginning. As far as I can tell, seizures never read the book. lol Glad to hear that your daughter got her drivers license. Now she will have the same freedom as everyone else. I use to ride a motorcycle but I had to give it up because of the seizures. I really miss riding in the spring when the weather starts getting warm.

I'm on the list for my daughter, who is almost 22 and has Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy. She started with generalized tonic clonic seizures at ten (they used to call them grand mall). Eventually around age 17 or 18, she started having myoclonic seizures, too. That's actually backwards from most people with JME, but I guess her epilepsy never read the book ;) Her seizures are now completely controlled with depakote and topiramate, which has been great, as she was finally able to get her driver's license.
