Yeah, and maybe why Japanese people tend to be skinnier. I think in the past people ate a lot more polysaccharides, and seaweed was popular food (human beings tend to live near the coastlines: take a look at a satellite picture of earth at night!). 


I do love my seaweed. I use ground seaweed, mixed with seseme seeds, instead of table salt.
