No, I surely didn't think that Peirs was talking about laughing at a person's epilepsy. When he said "I was prepared to laugh at that," it just bugged me a moment because, even though I also had never heard of indoor kite flying, I didn't even think for a second that it sounded funny. I remember thinking "Really? I wonder how that can be possible." and I was curious and waiting to see what it was all about and how it could be done.
