RE: [fast5] H20

I drink a lot of water.  I mean, a LOT.  I like it, and probably there's something about having something to take in, even when I'm not eating.

But I don't like plain water.  There are lots of ways how you can make it more palatable, if that's the problem - some people use lemon juice (just a few drops).  My own method is herbal tea bags, I just put a herbal tea bag (fruity is best for me) into a glass and fill up with cold water.  Of course, that doesn't taste like brewed tea but it does give a nice, light taste to plain water that I enjoy.

I work at a computer all day.  So I keep a glass by my side all the time.  If I wasn't naturally sipping at it all the time, which is what I do, I could always set my calendar to pop up a reminder every two hours or so to drink something.  Just a thought.

Drinking lots of water has its benefits... for me, they are clear skin that doesn't dry out, easy bowel movements, I never get any headaches - and all these are things that have changed since I began to consciously drink lots of water, some years ago.

Hope that helps,
b.

Subject: [fast5] H20

Hi,
I've been on Fast5 for 5 weeks now and have found it really works for me. I am fortunate in that it was easy for me to jump right in to the 19-hour fast. I have lost about 5 pounds, have tons more energy, and am finding the hunger I do experience is diminishing and less bothersome by the day. One of the things I like best about it is that I can really see the effect that different foods have on me. For instance, I've learned I need protein at my break-fast in order to keep my body happy. A couple of times I ate sweet carbs first and I felt like I'd been walloped over the head.

I have a question about water intake. The experts say 8 to 10 glasses of water a day but I have always found it difficult to take in that much. Does anyone have any info on the recommended water intake on Fast-5? Does your body need more or perhaps less b/c it's not working as hard?

Thanks!
