[epilepsy] Re: Tegretol

--- Trish is so right. If I accidently take an extra dosage of Tegretol, I see double, can't stand up...I look like I am drunk. I accidently overdosed about 13 yrs ago and it scared the daylights out of me. I had been seizure free for a year back then and I was convinced the seizures were back. What happened was I forgot I had already taken my morning dosage of Tegretol, so I took another dose before I went to my neighbor's house for a cookout.

Well, just try to uncross your eyes, it can't be done when you've taken too much medication. I made an excuse to come home early, for fear there was going to be a really bad seizure coming. Thankfully, my neighbor was a nurse and saw something was wrong, so my mother called her to come and check me out.

Thank goodness I've never taken an extra dose of medicine since then. I literally thought I was going to die that day it scared me so much.

To further my concern, I looked up several sites explaining Tegretol side effects and indeed, what I'm experiencing is typical.
