Hi Lynn,
I live in Goshen, Indiana.
Would you believe I grew up in Ohio? My address was Apple Creek, but
I lived closer to Kidron. Kidron is a small Swiss town between Wooster
and Canton. That is also where I went to church. So when people ask where
I am from -- I say Kidron.. Most people have never heard of it. It is about 4
miles south of Road 30.
I was transplanted here by marriage but am not married anymore. I was divorced
38 years ago. So I guess I am quite independent.
I have 3 daughters-- all in their 50's. The first 2 live in Goshen and the 3rd one
lives in Boston. I have 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grand children. My middle
daughter married a man with 5 children and his oldest daughter had 2 children
at that time-- so I became a great-grandma real fast. I am 80 years old. Will
be 81 in November. That isn't far away --is it? Sept went so fast!!!!
My legs and arms are weak - but I insist on walking as long as I can. I have a
walker with a seat-- which I am very grateful for. I don't usually use it in my apt
but I am using it more since my last sz. I always use it when I walk out side--
walking to other buildings-- but not usually when I go in a car. If I am going to be
walking where ever I go- I do take my walker. I use a grocery cart if I go grocery
shopping. I need to do more exercising to strengthen my legs. We have a Wellness
Center here with 24 machines but we also exercises on our TV station twice a day.
Now if I would just do them!!!
My building doesn't have any stairs but there are a few buildings that do. I use the
lift at church.
How often do you have a sz? How old are your children? I picture you in your 30's or 40's.
What did you do when you worked? What were you doing when you had your first sz?
Millie

Hello Millie :)
That is good you didn't drive when you had active seizures. What part of Indy did you live? I live in Ohio. The snow can be very bad but its been a dry past few winters.
Wonderful and rewarding career being a health care home Aid. I also do miss working after the seizures and gi issues put me on SSD almost three years ago. I try to do my best keeping my mind busy. :)
Wow! that is an awful lot of people but a great way to always have someone to talk to and friends. I was such a people person but glad now to have my Hubby, our Son and fur kids.
Same here, headaches and migraines with my seizures. Bad combination as you clearly know from experience. Sure will put you down for quite a few days. :(
Lost count of all the meds they had me try through out the past four years but nothing worked or they made things much worse, risks outweighed the benefits.
Do your children live in state or nearby? Any Grandchildren?
Good for you being proactive and not hiding EP because its very important and knowledge is power for everyone.
Praying you have a blessed week and thank you for being my new EP friend.
-Lynn
