[fast5] Re: Two years now

Hi Kathie and all...

On August 17, 2012 as I wandered through the usual "diet" searches (for the millionth time), I came across information on Dr. Bert W. Herring's book. That led to other searches and various information supportive of this concept written by Jeremy Stone, William Banting, Gary Taubes, Dr. Mercola and others.

On that same day, I began Dr. Herring's Fast-5 plan. It was done totally on a lark and with no preparation at all. I've lost 10 1/2 lbs.(as of last Sunday) and see this as a HUGE success! Going down the scale CONSISTENTLY instead of gaining is like a miracle to me!

Please understand, I have NEVER been successful on ANY diet. At 62 years of age and in the morbidly obese percentile, there have been so many failures over the years.

Why does the Fast-5 plan succeed where all the others have not? It's too darn simple, that's why! There's no deliberation, no thought about what you can and cannot eat, no special foods at all, no planning---all those things that are the set up for a diet's failure. It's like a miracle!

On the third day following it's guidelines, I took my blood pressure. What was always scary high was now within a normal range! After a week of obsessively taking it both day and night, I realized it was not a fluke---it was a bonus perk of this eating lifestyle!

I actually hate even calling this a "diet." It somehow diminishes the amazing simplicity of it's potential. It's really just a small change in eating patterns.

I could go on and on with acclamations of appreciation for how this has changed my life. I will end by congratulating Kathie and everyone who are creating tremendously better health because of Fast-5!

Joanne

I can have whatever I'd like during the window. And I can bake, which I love to do, because I can eat it during the window. yay!
