The damage is caused by the constant strain on the nerves in the brain
when we have recurring seizures. It is not at all uncommon to have
difficulties with the neuro psych test when seizures are not under
control. I had one prior to surgery, and the seizures alone caused me
to lose 5 points in my IQ. From that test to the post surgical test, I
lost another 14. That means I lost a total of 19. Good thin I started
in the 130's or I would really have problems.

But sometimes I "think slower" and my reaction time is slower. Does this mean that our brain is damaged and we have a type of mental retardation from damage done by seizures? I know I did horribly on my neuro psych testing and am embarrased and scared.
