Elizabeth,

We tried to get a medical exception through my husbands employer for the
name brand, that was worthless. This is the reason I opted to take part
D (which meant having to take part B). The year before I got Medicare
we out layed over $10,000 for my meds, I have no idea how, but we made
it. Last year the cost of coverage plus meds was about $6000, so we
saved $4000. I think it is ridiculous that they made a big deal out fo
the whole "gap coverage discount" this year, then next year many
expensive drugs are being dropped.
