Re: [fast5] Re: Close to goal

Thanks for the responses! I definitely agree in my rational mind. I do want to eliminate the excess fat I have though. I have had some trouble with binging on nuts and dried fruit when I keep my diet pretty clean. And once I stop counting I tend to creep gain and I eat less and less healthy... that was before IF. I feel like I am either over eating or under eating. I can't find that sweet spot of where I lose slowly but don't lose control and binge because of "hunger". It is like my stomach is full but I feel like my body is missing something. I was hoping that there was something about the fasting itself that helped the fat burning but maybe it is still calories in and out but more satisfying.

i kind of agree with heather that you may not need to be woorying about that 5 lb. my advice is to eat healthy, be active and you will drop that 5 lb or you are at your ideal weight. i am not on a diet, don't count calories. i am trying to eat good food. more fresh, organic and less processed. i am losing very slow but i am losing. every one is different and thats why i like fast 5. it is very flexible so do what is right for you. good luck

> Hello, I am new here :). I am about 5 pounds away from goal and do count calories most of the time in my window. I have been doing this for a week and notice inches gone but I am sure it is related to water fluid release (because it was cycle related). Scale hasn't budged. I enjoy the fasting but I have no idea how many calories to consume to lose weight as it seems I maintain weight fairly easily but i don't seem to lose pounds even with very low calories days. I am 5'5" and 130 now but would like to lose 5-10 pounds more. 130 seems to be a set point for me. I am medium build and have a bit of muscle from my days of marathon training which I have stopped (just run or walk a couple miles 5x a week now).
