[fast5] Are you following a diet plan?

By that I mean do you follow any special diet plan such as Atkins or South Beach Diet or Weight Watchers, anything like that?

Or do you just eat what you want?

Also for those who have been around for awhile, how long did it take you to see results? I see so many people on the FB group who are losing weight and losing inches fairly early on and it gets me discouraged because I am gaining weight and definitely not losing inches, my pants have never been tighter! I just started week three, I started this WOE on April 19th. I am willing to give it time but I guess I don't know what I'm doing wrong??

This is my typical day:

Three days a week I do interval jogging, I'm doing the Couch to 5K program. On alternate days I either walk 3 miles or do resistance training. It's really not a whole lot of work, I only work out for 30 minutes about 5 days a week. I have a desk job.

I eat nothing during my fast. I usually will have ice water with lemon or hot white tea with no sweetener. In the morning I have black coffee with a bit of Splenda and cinnamon, but those should be okay. I don't even have any gum anymore.

I usually break my fast around 4, sometimes 5 and will have either some natural peanut butter on 1 piece of whole grain toast, or some cheddar crackers (like cheese its) mixed in with low fat cottage cheese. If I'm still hungry I will have a fiber one granola bar.

After my snack I take my medication (I'm on Metformin for PCOS) and my daily vitamins. Sometimes I'll have some hot coffee with sugar free creamer in it to get my "real" coffee fix (although the black coffee with cinnamon isn't half bad!)

I eat a normal dinner with my family, which is a large salad and some sort of whole grain with a protein. We eat pretty healthfully. I'll usually have a glass or two of wine with dinner. To be honest though sometimes even if I'm not hungry, I reach for seconds and end up way too full. So maybe this is my problem.

After dinner I'll have dessert. Either frozen yogurt or some greek yogurt with granola. I'll usually be done a good hour, sometimes two before my window closes and I always have hot white tea before bed.

I was secretly hoping that by fasting all day I would magically be able to not worry about carbs or calories and could eat what I wanted within my window but perhaps this isn't the case for me. With my PCOS I do have to watch my carbs and try hard to eat mostly low Glycemic Index foods but I've sort of been eating whatever I want since being on this plan.

I'm not giving up yet but am getting very discouraged. I would love to hear how it went for you when you first started out...

Thanks for any advice!
