Neurologist Marie Atkinson was the guest and she spoke about the Vegal nerve stimulator
or VNS that sends a stimulation through the small cord which stimulates
the vegus nerve in the brain. This device is available outside the U.S.
also. And is not recommended for children under the age of 12.

You need to talk to your doctor about the stimulation settings based on
the kinds and number of seizures you have. Also on how long the battery
will last before having to change it.

I took the notes on this show..This is the same devise I've had for two years and it works well for me.
