Re: [epilepsy] Re: CAUSES AND SYMPTOMS OF SEIZURES

I woke up one morning and didnt' remember how to do my job, didn't remember my passwords, didn't remember anything short term.  At first he said it was psychological then when my therapist said it was neuro  then he agreed and upped my Trileptol to 1,200 per day

Sometimes seizures are more active at a certain time of day.  I always knew I had one at night since I'd wake up in pure terror.  But you can have one from not taking meds, overtired, stress...

For you, maybe your hormones aren't causing them, but they can definitely be!  People will not have any when pregnant,  or they'll change during menopause.

What causes night time seizures?  My doctor doesnt' even know but he suspended my license for a month and increased my Trileptol to 1,200  per day, which is two pills per day, rather than 1.5 per day.  How do you prevent seizures as he said that computer and tv time has nothing to do w/it and he said that hormones isn't causing it as I thought it was having night sweats but he said no.

Sue, That sounds about right --it takes a while--
but everybody is different.
