As a fellow Celiac, they have found many people w/epilepsy also have Celiac's. Why they don't know, but it is more common.
Many people will never have symptoms, but I went 2 years before finally seeing a doctor. It is a hard diet to get used to and definitely expensive, but I eat healthier, since I eat more protein, few carbs and more fruit and.veggies. I was fortunate.to have fellow celiacs at work tell me what's good/what to avoid, and Trader Joe's/whole foods have A LOT of choices. I'm sure the absoplrption of medications is also better now!

>Doris, have you looked at your diet? Gluten-free eating has made me completely sz-free for almost 2 years, and I thought I would be the last person on the planet to be dx'ed with Celiac Disease because I did not fit the profile. I wasn't always in the bathroom in pain, I wasn't emaciated, etc...but I have it, and being gluten-free has not only helped me achieve complete sz control, but it's also made my previous triggers non-issues. It's certainly worth looking into!
