Junior makes a good point. Central sleep apnea is very common in
chiari, and is actually one of the symtoms used as a diagnostic marker.
Central sleep apnea is very different then obstructive sleep apnea int
hat it is a neurological based sleep apnea, caused by a misfiring of the
signals in the sleep centers of the brain. I would ask very specific
questions as to what the neurologist thinks these spikes are.
