Well after more than 5 years-- I had a sz this week. For some reason I didn't take my pills for 3 days. Have no idea why I didn't. I fell on my stomach in my apartment and couldn't get up. I don't know how long I lay there but it seemed like hours. I tried umpteen times to get up --but couldn't. When I was found they took me to ER and was
admitted, x-rayed, took every imaginable test needed, worked with PT, OT. Was there for about 27 hours --Mostly for observation and just to make sure I can go back to my apartment to live alone.
I look like I was in a fight. My right eye was black was black and blue -- along with numerous indoor /outdoor rug burns and blisters. My Dr. said that since my meds have worked for over 20 years-- he is going to keep on the same meds and then test for the levels. If they aren't working-- then we will change meds.
This has left me with a poor memory, poor concentration, weak leg and arms , sore bottom ribs, making mistakes when I type and a scrambled brain -- and for the next couple weeks I am to take my walker with a chair every where I go including the bath room. My 2 daughters who live in town have helped me a lot. They were both here this morning. One did my wash and the other did grocery shopping for me
I live in a Retirement Center with 150 apartments and news always travels fast. I feel fine except I have trouble getting up from a chair. I sit in my walker with a seat to type because it is higher and easier to get out of.
