Susan,

We got to concerts and I wear sunglasses even it is night. I can still see
the band but not the strobes as much. The loud music does not seem to hurt
me.

I would stay as far away from the DJ as you can. People can come to you if
they need to mingle.

Its my sister's husband's 50th b-day party and I cant' just say that I
can't go. I don't go to concerts anymore and miss Bon Jovi and Bruce and
even my husand goes to Bruce w/out and I don't go as a seizure is not worth
it but I cant tell my sister not to have a DJ for her husband's party that
is outside of their shore house

No, I actually play drums and it doesn't bother me. Rhythmic sounds,
like in music, don't tend to affect people in the same way as other loud
noises. The lights use to be a problem until I got a specially tinted
glasses.

Question. Why would you knowingly put yourself in a situation that you
know triggers seizures? I know that means we have to make some cruddy
decisions, but just ask yourself if having a seizure is worth the
momentary pleasure.
