[epilepsy] Drop seizures and fainting

 

If you faint is it basically a drop seizure?

Two weeks ago I was eating dinner at the retirement home where I live. I had had a bad case of acid reflux. I got up and the next thing I knew I felt dizzy and was getting up from the floor with some assistance. My dinner companions told me I was out for about 10 seconds.

I fell backwards and my head hit the floor with a thud. I went to the ER. Luckily all I have is a bruise.
