Hi Doris
How are we doing today. I have not had the surgery but just with many many seizures of all types and lots and
lots of meds constantly piled in my body, memory loss is natural no matter what you do. Now .... for me is it
this or is it something entirely different who knows. As we grow older our body changes over and over. It
seems once one thing hits you others creep in. If you promise not to laugh lol :) (but you can smile) the
fridge is right beside the dishwasher in my house here right. Had a good day and supper time comes along, get
out the milk for something, and automatically went to put it back. HUM but not in the fridge in the
dishwasher. Don't know if in a hurry or if just trying to multi-task (and this is a no no for me) I did not
realize what I was doing until I noticed it didn't fit.
As we do grow older our mind does grow weaker with us naturally so put the two together (old and drugs and
seizures) and oh boy you have quite the mix.
I wouldn't worry about it. I can laugh about it now but if still were worrying about it I would be doing it
again and again.
Keep well and keep smiling and do what you need to do to and you will be just fine.
Julie

Subject: [epilepsy] Memory List Helpful
Post left temporal, I definately see change in current memory as I
bet a lot of others who also had the surgery do too.
An apprehensive part of this, is the constant fear concerning how
much worse is this going to get with time.
If you get a minute and can relate to this, share little things you
might have found necessary and helpful to you. I think the major
things to me are auto directions to many locations I use, and also
written planning of weeks menu so food shopping is more organized. I also keep lists of contents of freezer
and food closet, so I know
what is needed and what I have.
Take care.
Doris :-)
