Tested lacosamide before name Vimpat was attached.I take 350mgs of it twice a
day, also I take 1000mgs of Keppra XR twice daily.I'd been taking Keppra XR x
1500mgs once a day. But,was taking both medicines in AM while only Vimpat in
PM,now I take both at both times. For 37 years I only had complex partials with
no aura, but on1/4/11 I had my first simple partial,I expected it to quickly
progress causing unconsciousness at it became a complex-partial.It didn't,I had
another one just like that on 5/15/11.So my last unconscious experience of a
complex was 6/13/10,I hope it won't happen again after this change of medicines
& beginning to see a doctor at NYU.

For one year I had the same. Now I take 550mg Vimpat and even more of Keppra. I
haven't had any seizures
for almost one year. TG! I believe we always have to match any medicine. Wish
you good luck.

I have been taking Vimpat for over a year now. My neurologist took it up to
400mgs, but it just made me feel depressed. I still had seizures with that
dose. He took it back down to 300mgs. I take 150mg pills twice a day now.
Even though I am not for sure, I think 400mgs is the most they will give
you. It does seem to help my seizures better than without it though. Hope
you don't have anymore seizures anytime soon.Take care and if there is
anything else I can help with let me know.
