Thanks for that advice, I've been really struggling with hunger lately and haven't been able to work out why so I'm going to try drinking water when it hits me and see what happens

Subject: [fast5] Water and hunger
I've hit a bit of a wall here lately with weight loss. Over the last month or so I've felt ravenously hungry during my window. Couldn't figure out why. I'd just gobble down every carby thing I could find. Whatever the wife bought for the kids... gone. Yummy.
Then I came across an article explaining how the body sometimes can't tell the difference between hunger and thirst. So I thought that maybe I'm dehydrated as it's been getting warm outside since late May and I do exercise outside quite a bit. Over the last few days I've started chugging a 12oz glass of water every time I get that obsessive, must-eat-something, counter-surfing, cabinet searching feeling.
It works.
I'm sick of drinking water already but I'm no longer craving food after I eat and I can go about my business without thinking of food. If I start to feel "snacky", I'll just gulp down 12 more ounces of water.
Amazingly, I can drink 60-72 ounces of water after work and only go to the "mens room" once or twice. I guess I really was/am dehydrated.
So, keep drinking that water folks... unless you'e in Australia or Brazil right now, in which case disregard. ;)
