I, too, do MAJOR workouts both cardio and weights in a completely fasted state. My cardio workouts are much, much better done fasted. I last longer and go harder and faster. Off for a run now with sprints, push ups and dips with no food since yesterday at noon (looking at 22 hrs here). The weights workouts are also fine completely fasted. I feel like they're burning more fat than non fasted weighted workouts but have no proof of that. I have not noticed big increases in strength or anything fasted with weights, but I'm female and not particularly trying to heft a ton. Fasted workouts RULE and I've never, ever had a problem going long and hard.
How LONG can a person fast and still work out though? Do you week long water fasts work out while you're doing that? THAT might be a whole different story but I'd love to hear. THe human body is extremely adapatable, is what I'm learning from all of this!
