I'm a certified personal trainer and have been fasting for about 4 months (not straight! ha ha) I've worked my fats up to about 22 hrs, give or take. The longer I go wihthout food, the beter I feel.
I have been exercising rigourously at the very end of my fast this whole time. I can't BELIEVE how wrong the fitness industry is on this one, guys! I am stronger with more endurance in a fast. Just last week I did one AFTER eating (and not all that much, relatively) and it was a NIGHTMARE...the thing about fasted workouts is that you must get used to them, just like fasting itself. Once you do, there is no stopping me! I swear, I do everything backwards from what I 'preach" in that gym. I preach the current industry standards, that's what I'm paid to do. however, I routinely share my experience and positive results with fasting, as well. For me, this is SO what my body's been asking for all these years. It's amazing what wonders it's done.

I'm off now for about a six mile run with my 24y old friend (will be 41 tomororow, myself). We'll throw in some push ups, burpees, dips and sprints along the way. It's seven a.m here in Cali and I last ate at 11am yesterday..Will not eat again til lunchtime time today, hours after the workout is over. Crazy! But I love the way I feel and look!
My guess? Like everything else in fitness and nutirition, this might not be for everyone. It SURE is "for me"!
