Re: [epilepsy] Re: Seizures and depression

I was on 50K iu/week for 3 months, and 1000 iu/day. I now take 2000 iu/day, plus what's in my multi and calcium.

That is interesting - I had not heard/read that. However I do know that Dilantin interferes in the absorption of vitamin D. They used to even have that information in the CPS - the CPS is the Canadian equivalent of our Physicians Desk Reference. But I have noticed that the information in both those books changes for no reason that I have been able to see. Just as there used to be information about Dilantin and The Fetal Hydantoin Syndrome in both those books.

How did you get your vitamin D levels up?

Get your magnesium levels up and you won't get depressed, won't have a lot of anziety and will sleep better. You will be less irritated as well as less aggressive. Magnesium is also used to cure headaches - migraines are a symptom of magnesium deficiency and can be alleviated with magnesium.

My wife says she can always tell when I am going to have a bad aura during the day because of how I am feeling. I also get extremely irritable, have really bad headaches, and generally feel overstimulated all of the time.
