[epilepsy] 23 hour eeg ?

Well we are currently doing my son's 23 hour study. On of our concerns is possible seizures when falling asleep.  We notice the monitor kept saying spike 20+ times while falling asleep.  Does anyone know if this is normal or could indicate he is having a problem then?  The nurses say "they don't know" lol

sounds like you had a myoclonic seizure. My daughter has had many of them and she could talk to me the whole time. I would suggest you call your doctor

and discuss it with them. That's what they are there for

About a half hour ago I was sitting outside on my patio having a cigarette when my right hand began to tremble...and at the same time I felt a tingling sensation in my left hand. It didn't last long as I just sat there staring at my right hand making small jerking movements.

As most of you know I was recently diagnosed with absence and frontal lobe partial complex seizures and then something called psychomotor seizures.

I am SO not used to this and what just occured is new to me as I've never had that happen before. I mean my hands tremble off and on all day long and that's why my Neurologist put me on Tegretol. Yet the tingling feeling is brand new.

I see her next Monday and will advise her.
