i have been doing fast 5 for a long time. my window is 11am to 4pm. I used to eat twice, once when it opened and once before it closed but after time went by I started eating just one meal. sometimes I eat as soon as the window opens and sometimes I eat later (1pm or 2pm). I found that I liked planning a great meal and having only one prep and one cleanup and I'm not hungry the rest of the day.
my understanding from reading the book is that you only eat during the five hour window. what you eat is up to you. I believe one of the reasons this group died was that too many people started telling others what you can and cannot eat. I know that when I first started, I ate too much and a lot of junk. that changed as I got used to this lifestyle. plus, I started reading a lot about the way our food is processed and wanted to eat less processed and more REAL food. but that is a personal preference.
