I'm allergic to Dilantin Depakote did make me feel like a zombie when I first started taking it got better but the side affects were a pain. I'm finally under control after having seizures for almost 40 years maybe I'll learn to drive . Dana W
I also took Depakote in my late teens and early twenties. I took Dilantin at that time, too. They controlled my seizures pretty well, but the Depakote made me feel like a zombie, so I wasn't able to finish college. I ended up going to Goodwill for computer classes, but staring at the screen gave me terrible headaches. I am also on Keppra and Lamictal, and they are working a lot better as far as side effects are concerned.
