Re: [epilepsy] Ativan question

I take it, and it does work pretty quickly.  It is nothing like valium, which was very addictive--every time it wasn't in me, i thought i was having  a seizure, and would take it again--the doctor i had at that time never told me it was addictive.  I have not found this to be addictive at all.

My doctor gives me 15 pills for 3 months, and i haven't taken many of them.  I am also on Keppra, so I can take an extra one of those too, and between the 2, i feel much better!

Subject: [epilepsy] Ativan question

Do any of you take it? What have you been told?

Is it fast-acting? Or addictive?

I  had one doctor I saw say it isn't addictive, only fast  acting.  My current one's MA called today and said it is both.

I don't  find it addictive and have been taking it a couple times a week for a long time. I have never craved more. It does help when I am feeling 'trippy' or too shaky to do anything.
