Similar to me in some ways. I have had E 38 years. For about 12 years it was fully controlled. That changed coincident with another illness (Lymphoma) I was treated for 1991-3. Szrs came back in '92 and not controlled since. I carried on working (through two redundancies) until 2002. My E has changed a lot over the years, from nocturnal TC szrs, to CP, to what my neuro referred to as frontal lobe szrs, due to the wierdness of them and to CPs again. I tried all the AEDs up to 2004, but have refrained from trying the very new ones. I had two bad drug changes (Keppra and then Trileptal). So current meds - Tegretol Prolonged Release, Tegretol, Mysoline and Clonazepam (additional doses of which are also used in an attempt to limit clusters). I have sort of come to an accommodation and unless things get worse, or there's a medical reason to come off any of these, then I'll stick. My neuro is in full agreement, though I have the offer to try one or more of the very new ones if I wanted to.
It seems Jewl has her answer to is anybody still there? LOL. Just took her to start the ball rolling again!
