This is not my experience but I've read on here that quite often
they have nite time szs after they have surgery. I haven't
had surgery nor do I have szs at nite.
I've also read here that sometimes they can drive when they
only have szs at nite. That depends on your Dr,
Computer and TV time count only if those are your triggers.
Do you know what triggers your szs?
I take 3 Dilantin Mon, Wed and Fri and 4 the other days.
I also take 4 -30 mg phenabarb a day. I have done this
for over 20 years.
I've had EP for over 50 years. I was sz free for 5 years until
this last Aug. I forgot to take my meds ==why-- I don't know--.
I fell on the floor and couldn't get up. Since I don't know
when I had the sz we are guessing that I was on the floor
about 12 hours. That landed me in the hospital for 24 hours
plus 3 hours in ER. My Dr. wanted to be sure that I could
me home alone. I have a 3 room apartment in a retirement
center. I've been here for 15 years. I wanted to come while
I could still enjoy it and I really do.
The whole campus has 1200 people here but my building has
150 independent apartments.
I think that sometimes we who have szs know more than the Drs.
I have sure learned a lot in this group.

What causes night time seizures? My doctor doesnt' even know but he suspended my license for a month and increased my Trileptol to 1,200 per day, which is two pills per day, rather than 1.5 per day. How do you prevent seizures as he said that computer and tv time has nothing to do w/it and he said that hormones isn't causing it as I thought it was having night sweats but he said no.
