It is basically the same thing. I am in this group because my g/f has
epilepsy, but I am bipolar and take this for my mood stabilizer. There are
several names for it, that it appears it depends on who is filling it or
who is prescribing it as to what it is. There are several names for it:
GENERIC NAME: valproic acid, divalproex BRAND NAME: Depakote, Depakote ER,
Depakene, Depacon, Stavzor I know there are a couple of differences between
the ER version, and others...but I have seen most of these prescribed to me
with the same dosages.
