Dale,
I've wondered about something like that for awhile. My life had changed,I just began to drive, drink beer and smoke pot.I had a couple of seizures, was diagnosed with epilepsy in '74.I was prescribed & took phenobartital and Dilantin.I wasn't aware of any seizures till '80 when I saw my first neurologist. He told me to stop taking phenobarbital, and he kept trying med after med in its place while slowly increacing my dose of Dilantin up to where my blood was measured at 20.1 mg per liter of blood. In '92 he replaced Dilantin with Tegretol. He kept trying more meds in its place. For awhile I was on 3 meds at a time w/o Tegretol or anything else that had carbamazepine in it.Finally I went to see another doctor who quickly removed one of them and the frequncy of seizures got better. What it would be like,if a doctor reduced it just one at a time?I wouldn't just stop!
