Re: [fast5] IF and pregnancy?

I haven't heard from anyone doing Fast-5 while pregnant, and probably no one wants to give pregnancy advice!

I can say that IF hasn't hurt my endocrine system any, nor any of that bit about "going into starvation mode". Losing too much weight though is a bad thing for women trying to conceive.

Also based on my personal experience, I think people should get tested for gluten intolerance/celiac before getting pregnant. Gluten issues are for sure involved in a lot of miscarriages and problems conceiving, and if I had know that I had this issue before trying I would have had a LOT easier time of things. Also (again based on experience) it's a good idea to have some good vitamins, esp. with the B vitamins, so you are in good status before you conceive. The better your overall health is, the better off you are, esp. if you are older. I was 36 or so when I got married and we decided to have a kid! Had one when I was 40, one when I was 42.

hello folks,

I was so excited to stumble upon FAST-5 because I have been practicing IF for years, but without knowing why it works so well for my body. It was great to have confirmation that I'm not crazy!!! :)

I'm a 36 year old female hoping to conceive for the first time. I'm wondering if IF will effect my endocrine/reproductive system in negative ways? Does anyone have experience getting pregnant and/or carrying a pregnancy full-term while eating a FAST-5 lifestyle?

Any wisdom and/or experience is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Emily
